Arnaldo Pomodoro

MORCIANO DI ROMAGNA 1926
Arnaldo Pomodoro was born in 1926 and spent his childhood and began his training in Pesaro.

He studied as a surveyor and then devoted himself to sculpture, for which he gradually developed a strong passion, slowly defining his characteristic, informal language, adapting from time to time to the characteristics of the material used.

Since 1954 he has lived and worked in Milan, next to the Darsena.

Between 1961 and 1962, he was part of the informal group Continuità with Lucio Fontana, an experience that allowed him to refine his style and to investigate his aesthetic conception.

His works are super appreciated both in Italy and abroad and are in great demand. Today they are present in cities such as Rome, Milan, Dublin, Copenhagen, Los Angeles, California…
