“Ne parliamo domani”    Sebastiano Balbo

Sebastiano Balbo is an artist who defies any classification, exploring jewellery as a form of artistic and conceptual research.
In the 1980s and 1990s, he created his evening sculptures, gold jewels featuring geometric and lightweight structures, in which the precious material is deliberately concealed.
With the exhibition Ne parliamo domani at BABS Art Gallery, he returns to jewellery with new works created in collaboration with master goldsmith Matteo Bonafede, using different materials and mechanical and movable elements.
His research is based on the transformation and reuse of existing objects, giving them new meanings through an ironic and unconventional language.
The title evokes regret for what is postponed and invites us to rediscover freedom, creativity and beauty, because, for Balbo, art is revolution.
