RICCARDO GUSMAROLI

Verona, 1963

The artistic research of Riccardo Gusmaroli, from Verona, is a conceptual exploration centered around humanity’s impulse to explore new territories, ideally represented as an elliptical and spiral wandering through the meanders of imagination. His artistic journey is influenced by his experience as a still-life photographer, evident in his inclination to construct compositions of everyday objects and the lively inventiveness with which the photographic image is covered with calligraphic colorful marks, which later transform into paths on maps, flowers, or cover the entire surface of the canvas.
